Social Styles Reflections-
Primary Social style: Analytical is my main social style and we are shy, indecisive, logical, and emotionally controlled.
Secondary Social Style: Amiable is my secondary social style and we are supportive, like security and harmony, and like working in groups.
Accuracy: This test was very accurate and I feel that everything that was explained about how I act in different situations was spot on to how I act in reality. I am so shy and have to flip a coin just to make a decision for what I want for dinner. I like things to work well and am always afraid to get things wrong and be judged for it or unhappy. For example I never use to raise my hand in class just incase I didn't know the right answer because I was afraid to be judged.
What I like: In an environment I like to be treated with respect and not forced to do all the work, everyone should do their part. I don't always enjoy working with others but when I have to it's important for everything to flow and not get crazy/distracting. Things need to be in a process for me, they can't be unorganized.
What others can do: For people to work well with me and for it to be successful they can be calm, share their ideas (though are open to new ones), get their work done, and don't single me out
My Smart Goal for 2013-2014
|
My Goal: More Independent, confident in my own skin.
Specific: I want to be able to share my opinions or raise my hand in class, in both academic and extra curriculum activities, and to not afraid of what others think of me. Measurable: It is not to large of a goal, can start with small steps to build confidence. Attainable: Animas has already started helping me in this process and I know that I can push my self to fit our culture of excellence. Relevant: It is something I need to achieve to be successful. Speaking in class, asking for help when I am confused will improve my grades which will help me get into the college I want. Time Bound: At the end of every week I will have at least raised my twice in any of my classes. Just the semester work on speaking up. Next year harden the goal, push myself to be more confident. |
