Video Project-
In this project we had the option to choose a topic that we love or feel passionate about and create a documentary about it. I decided that I want to do my documentary on dance because it is my favorite thing to do in life. Dance also means more to every dancer and myself then it does to people who just watch dancing. Everything that happens behind the scenes before performances is what my partner and I tried to capture. The reality of dance is a lot harder and takes commitment that most people can't see through a performance. As dancers our goal is to become one with our movements and to get into our audience's hearts and move them with our passion. Below is our video, Dance From all Angles, and shows the backstage of dancing.
If we could redo this project I would would definitely come more prepared with more questions to asks the interviewees and not forget to bring the camera on the last night of the performance. Everything went but we needed more time a place that we couldn't go back to.

Design Your Own Art Project-
Reflection:
What does it really mean to be a 21st century learner?
Being a 21st century learner is all about taking knowledge, inferring what that knowledge means, and changing and expanding your knowledge. In this project we did a mid-assessment where we really had to think through why we did something and what we could do to improve our projects. This took a lot of metacognition, thinking about your thinking, to make improvements that expanded our knowledge and made us better artist and deeper thinkers.
Are you more prepared for your future (at Animas High School or in General) after this project? Why or why not?
After this project I now know that I am able to create paintings, learn new skills on youtube, and use art supplies. This is going to be very important because I love creating art and will be helpful for all of the projects I have for the next three years. This project has also helped me with my critical thinking, which will help me get deeper into any project I have.

Teacher Creature Project-
What the project is, what I did: For this project we we had to take one of our teachers and change them into an animal or a creature of some sort. We learned how to select and move different images to create our final project. I took Lori's face and put her on the body of a marmoset monkey. I also put Han Solo and Jennifer Lawrence into the background because they are two of Lori's favorites actors.
Hardest part of the project: I believe the hardest part of this project was finding balance in my picture and how everything would fit together in harmony. I wanted this project to look the most realistic so I had to keep changing the hue, brightness, saturation, size, and where the object was placed in my image.
Favorite Part of the Project: My favorite part of this project was being able to change one of my favorite teachers faces into her favorite animal. Seeing how I could change the whole perspective and how Lori now did actually resemble a marmoset now!!
What I have learned about myself through this project: In this project I really began to see how this is the perfect type of learning for. No where else would I be allowed to change my teacher into some weird animal! I can see how this one project has affected me and how proud I am to be part of this amazing culture that exists here at Animas High School.

Understanding distance with scale & proportion
In this project we began to get in depth with how to make beautiful pictures using Photoshop and Roxy’s photos. We first learned about the principle, proportion/scale. Proportion and scale is the differences between the size, number or any other aspect of several objects. We had to have a foreground, middle ground and background. All of the pictures we were given to use weren't all the same size. The magic wand, select tool, and the lasso tool helped me the most in selecting exactly what part of pictures that I wanted. We would have to change the size of any object we used to in our final picture to fit into one of the three ground spaces. The brightness, size and angle of the input image are important so that the picture looks realistic. I was able to use six different pictures that now flow as one picture. Understanding the differences of middle ground to foreground to background is helpful in figuring how the object needs to change to fit into that scene.
